Live soccer: TMHS boys continue winning ways

The Juneau-Douglas girls soccer team is having its way against Homer, having raced out to a 7-0 lead at halftime. The Crimson Bears’ Michaela Bentley, Malia Miller and Eva Goering all scored in the first three minutes of the game.
7:40 p.m.
I just headed across the Mendenhall Valley to check out a much closer game going on between the Thunder Mountain and Ketchikan boys soccer teams. Ketchikan scored the last goal but Thunder Mountain had the first two of the game. Wallace Talon Briggs got the first and Wallace Adams scored the second. There’s just under 10 minutes to play.

The Trax to the rescue! Falcons goalkeeper Caleb Traxler denies the Kings twice to keep the game a 2-1 affair.

Thunder Mountain defeats Ketchikan 2-1 and improves to 4-1 on the season. Here’s a summary of the Falcons’ season so far:

Thunder Mountain girls led Ketchikan 2-0 with the first half almost over. Freshmen Julia Robinson and sophomore Ellie Knapp each with goals for the Falcons, who will play the Lady Kings three more times this season.

Thunder Mountain girls defeat Ketchikan 3-1 on a two-goal night from sophomore Ellie Knapp.
