National Transgender Day of Remembrance will be observed in Juneau with a candlelight vigil and a screening of a documentary about trans youth.

The day of remembrance event will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Gold Town Nickelodeon, 171 Shattuck Way, Suite 109. All are welcome to the event, and there is a suggested donation of $5 at the door. Admission is free for all students.

All proceeds will go toward T-Group, the local trans and non-binary support group.

Transgender Day of Remembrance is a day honoring the transgender and gender nonconforming community in light of the violence the community faces.
