Softball tourney raises $4K for ailing baby

The 22nd annual Coed Softball Benefit Tournament raised over $4,000 for Steve and Amber Dyer’s baby daughter, Lucy, who was diagnosed with a neuroblastoma tumor last month. Nine teams participated in the two-day tournament at Dimond Park that wrapped up on Sunday.

BrokeBat Mountain came out on top in the upper division, defeating The Draftees 9-8 in the championship game. The Thunder Bunnies topped the Bench Warmers 11-9 in the lower division championship game.

Michele Stuart Morgan organized the tournament for the Dyer family, who are involved in Juneau adult softball.
