On Wednesday afternoon, cracks spread across one of the front windows of Duck Creek Market. Bricks below the window were missing, cracked and dented.

The previous night, a car had run into the front of the market, just to the right of the entrance. Jack Manning, the owner of the market, said someone had simply hit the gas instead of the brake and had slammed into the building. He said alcohol didn’t appear to be involved in the person’s mistake.

Manning wasn’t too worried. Business carried on as usual, as he made a comment that this mistake could have happened to anyone. He pointed at his big feet, saying he sometimes tapped the wrong pedal from time to time.

The damage was fairly minimal, he said, and he was still waiting back for an estimate on how much it was going to cost.
