Thunder Mountain High School junior Hansel Hinckle is the Juneau Empire’s player of the week.

The 5-foot-7, 140-pound guard scored a season-high 18 points in the Falcons 68-40 win over Mt. Edgecumbe on Saturday. With the win, TMHS finished 2-1 on their Sitka road trip.

“He played hard defense and capitalized on offense,” TMHS coach John Blasco said.

Hansel and the Falcons return to action this Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. against Juneau-Douglas High School at JDHS.
