Published 6:02 pm Wednesday, June 15, 2016

Don’t mind the gunshots on Friday. That’s the sound of the Coast Guard training.

Coast Guard Station Juneau warned the public in a prepared statement that it will be firing blanks from a mounted automatic weapon — as well as LA51 warning device munitions from a shotgun — from 8 a.m. to noon.

The annual training is scheduled to take place near Dupont Dock in Gastineau Channel.
