Police ID man who died in single car crash last week

ANCHORAGE — Police have identified the driver who died in a one-vehicle crash in South Anchorage last week.

Police in a Thursday statement said 27-year-old Frank Bavilla III died in the crash near Dimond Boulevard and C Street on Feb. 5.

The state medical examiner had to make the positive identification after the car rolled multiple times, hit a light pole and then caught on fire.
