Ketchikan located in Alaska, Facebook decides

KETCHIKAN — According to Facebook, Ketchikan is finally located in Alaska.

The Ketchikan Daily News reports that after almost a year of complaints, the social media giant has fixed a glitch that listed updates geotagged to Ketchikan as “Ketchikan, Washington.”

A similar problem occurred on Wikipedia.

On Wednesday, a Facebook spokeswoman said the issue was fixed. The issue cropped up in April, but the official declined to provide more details.
