Troopers investigate break-in at Pilot Station school

PILOT STATION — Alaska State Troopers are investigating a break-in and damage at a village school.

Troopers say the principal of the school in Pilot Station on Sunday reported someone overnight had broken in through a school office window.

Staff members found smashed windows and doors throughout the school.

Damage is estimated at about $10,000.

Pilot Station is a village of 634 on the Yukon River about 430 miles west of Anchorage.
