Wet and wild regions

The one constant during Saturday’s Southeast Region V High School Cross Country running championships was the rain.
Runners from over 12 schools participated in four races along the Treadwell Mines Trail at Sandy Beach. Divided by
1A/2A/3A/4A school size and athlete gender, the runners faced muddy conditions at the start and finish and technical trail
running in the middle forest section.
A slideshow for the two 4A races and the two small school races is now available online at juneauempire.com.
