ANCHORAGE — Alaska State Troopers say they have identified a suspect in a double homicide and arson that occurred in June in Wasilla.
They are not releasing the name of the suspect, who is in federal custody on other charges.
Troopers said they have been actively investigating with federal authorities the deaths of 30-year-old Crystal Denardi and 43-year-old Ben Gross, both of Wasilla.
Troopers just before 4 a.m. June 5 received a report of a possible shooting at a home. Responding officers and medical personnel pulled up and found the house on fire.
Denardi and Gross were inside and autopsies indicated both died of gunshot wounds.
Troopers found a third person at the house who was treated at a hospital for injuries and released.
Charges in the shootings have not been filed.
