Police & Fire for Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017

Domestic violence

• At 3:32 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report of a possible domestic violence crime in the Juneau area; investigation continues.

Fire and medical

• On Friday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to five EMS calls in the area throughout the day.

• On Saturday, CCFR responded to nine EMS calls. At 3:10 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to Maplesden Way for a sprinkler activation due to malfunction; on arrival they closed the water main. At 9:23 a.m., firefighters were dispatched for smoke on South Franklin Street; nothing unusual was found. At 11:39 p.m., firefighters were dispatched for a strobe light on Glacier Highway; on arrival, the lights were not on and no alarms had been activated.

• On Sunday, CCFR responded to five EMS calls. At 2:27 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to an active fire alarm and sprinkler system activation on South Franklin Street; nothing was found on arrival. At 8:59 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Glacier Highway; a woman was provided advanced life support and transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital. At 2:44 p.m., firefighters responded to a smoke call in the area of Calhoun Avenue; no source of smoke was located. At 2:57 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to an active fire alarm on Savikko Road; it had been triggered by a malfunctioning boiler.

Theft

• At 8:13 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to a theft report in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive; investigation continues.

Trespassing

• At 3:24 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to a report of a mentally ill subject in the Juneau area. A man was arrested for criminal trespassing and misconduct involving weapons in the fifth degree, and he was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center on $1,000 bail.

• At 10:50 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to a report of trespassing in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway; investigation continues.
