Assault

• At 12:24 p.m. Monday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a reported assault in the 1600 block of Renninger Street. Investigation continues.

Burglary

• At 1:17 p.m. Monday, JPD received a report by a 59-year-old man in the 1900 block of Lemon Creek Road regarding a burglary.

Drunken driving

• At 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Juneau conducted a traffic stop and arrested David Williams, 47, for driving under the influence of alcohol. He then tried to escape by fleeing on foot across the parking lot of Bartlett Regional Hospital, but was captured and taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. He was charged with DUI and escape in the fourth degree and was being held without bail.

Harassment

• At 7:58 p.m. Monday, JPD received a report of harassment in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway, Investigation continues.

Shoplifting

• At 1:28 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to a report of a shoplifting in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

Theft

• At 12:46 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to a report of the theft of a camper shell worth an estimated $1,000 from a vehicle in the 1800 block of Northwood Drive.

• At 1:49 p.m. Monday, JPD received a theft report by a 61-year-old man in the Juneau area.

• At 4:06 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to a report by a 21-year-old woman in the 2100 block of Lawson Creek Road that her debit card had been stolen and fraudulently used at various businesses in Juneau, with the total estimated loss at $200.

• At 10:05 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report regarding the theft of 24 vehicle batteries in the 8700 block of Mallard Street. Investigation continues.

Trespassing

• At 4:45 p.m. Monday, JPD arrested Donald Allen, 56, for criminal trespass on Egan Drive.

Vehicle rifling

• At 2:59 a.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report of vehicle rifling in the area of Meadow Lane. Officers located and detained a 23-year-old man on Linda Lane, who admitted to committing thefts from vehicles and a garage. He was identified, stolen items were seized, and he was released pending a continuing investigation.

• At 6:57 a.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report of several unlocked vehicles being rifled through in the 10000 block of Camden Place.

• At 7:50 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report from a 65-year-old man in the 600 block of Gold Street that his vehicle had been rifled through, with nothing taken.

• At 8:14 a.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report by a 49-year-old woman in the 3200 block of Hospital Drive that her unlocked vehicle had been rifled through; nothing was taken.

Vehicle theft

• At 6:41 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a vehicle theft report from a 36-year-old man in the 1600 block of Glacier Avenue.

• At 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report that an unlocked red Ford F150 with the keys inside was stolen from the 4500 block of Riverside Drive.

• At 8:34 a.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a vehicle theft report by a 48-year-old man in the 200 block of Franklin Street; it was later recovered.
