A 37-year-old motorcyclist was thrown off his motorcycle and pinned under a boat trailer after a collision on Glacier Highway Sunday afternoon, Alaska State Troopers said.

Troopers said Michael Shaw of Juneau was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital after his 2011 Honda motorcycle struck a 2008 Toyota SUV towing a boat operated by Dorion Hobbs, 26, near mile 14 on Glacier Highway.

Shaw sustained minor injuries, according to an online dispatch from troopers. He reported wearing a helmet to officials, and passengers in the SUV reported wearing seatbelts.

Alcohol is not considered a factor in the accident and an investigation is ongoing.

A BRH spokesperson has not respond to the Empire’s request for an update on Shaw’s condition.
