WASILLA — A Wasilla woman has been cited for feeding moose at the same location where an aggressive moose was later shot.
Alaska State Troopers say 53-year-old Mary Beall was cited Saturday for unlawfully feeding game. Her bail was set at $310.
Wildlife Troopers responded to a home March 27 after a person reported shooting a moose that had charged.
Troopers later took reports that people in the neighborhood had been feeding moose.
When they learned of a Facebook video showing a cow and a calf being fed at the same home, they cited Beall.
Troopers say they don’t know if the moose that was shot was the moose that was fed. But they warn that illegally feeding animals can make them aggressive toward people and pets.
