Man shot, critically injured, in Anchorage building

ANCHORAGE — A shooting at a midtown Anchorage building early Friday has left a man in critical condition.

Police just before 3:30 a.m. took calls of shots at a building, described as an apartment or hotel building, on the 3800 block of Minnesota Drive.

Officer and medics found a man in a hallway with gunshot wounds.

Police said the young man was conscious but would not provide information about what happened or who shot him.

He was taken to a hospital. Police say he is undergoing surgery.

No suspect is in custody.
