Juneau man arrested for sexual assault of a minor

The arrest came after a multi-organization investigation.

The Juneau Police Department arrested a man Tuesday on felony sexual assault of a minor charges, said a JPD spokesperson.

Leo John Fawcett, 45, was arrested Tuesday, said JPD Lt. Krag Campbell in a news release. The investigation was pursued in cooperation with the Office of Children’s Services.

Fawcett was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail, according to JPD. Fawcett is due to be arraigned on Oct. 22. Campbell said that the case is ongoing, and more charges may be forthcoming.
