Letter: Getting federal flood help is not waste or fraud

Has Trump, Elon Musk, or any of the DOGE boys ever seen the word jökulhlaup? Are they even aware of the 2024 glacial outburst that hit Juneau? How is one ranger going to not only to keep the bears and tourists apart, but also keep the tourists from being crushed and washed out to sea? Just because something is not a problem in Florida or Silicon Valley does not make it waste or fraud.
