JDHS hockey’s Thanksgiving tourney winners

The Juneau-Douglas High School hockey team crowned “Team Russia” (Zac Stagg, Fin Shibler, Chance Turinsky, Dalton Hoy, Owen Squires, Dawson Hickok) as the eighth annual Turkey Day 3-on-3 champions on Wednesday morning.

The intersquad tournament pitted JDHS players against each other in a series of 3-on-3 games. Team Russia defeated Team Sweden 3-2 in overtime of the championship game to claim the top spot out of six teams. The winners earned a dozen Breeze-Inn donuts.
