The base paths didn’t see a lot of action Friday night between Juneau-Douglas and Thunder Mountain High School at Adair-Kennedy.

Kasey Watts pitched six scoreless innings and JDHS beat the Falcons 2-1 in what was both squad’s first respective home games.

The Crimson Bears took an early 1-0 lead before five innings of scoreless baseball ensued. Down two runs in the bottom of the seventh, TMHS’ Gabe Storie singled to right field, scoring Sammy McKnight. Chris San Nicholas tried to score from second on Storie’s hit, but was tagged out at home. Riley Olsen was left stranded on third base on the next at bat as Owen Medonza flied out to left field. Nico Hebert drove in the game-winning run for the Crimson Bears in the top of the seventh.
