A Juneau man has been charged with sexually assaulting a child, according to charging court documents.

Trevor Niehaus, 22, was charged Aug. 29 with one felony count of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor for alleged abuse that allegedly took place in December.

He appeared in court Friday via teleconference. A trial is tentatively scheduled for November.

It’s unclear who his defense attorney is.

Niehaus was formerly employed at The Alaska Club. The club declined to comment, citing a policy against speaking on ongoing investigations.
