Assist

At 6:28 p.m. on Tuesday, Jonathan Lee Burns was remanded at the request of pretrial in the 5000 block of Douglas Highway. Additionally, Burns was charged with failure to stop and resisting arrest. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Child abuse/neglect

At 6:13 p.m. Juneau Police Department conducted a confidential investigation into a report of child abuse in the Juneau area.

Death

At 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday, JPD investigated the death of a 61-year-old man in the 1400 block of Harbor Way. The death is not considered suspicious, and the next of kin has been notified.

Driving under the influence

At 1:15 a.m. on Wednesday, 46-year-old Jarrett Wing Cerkas was arrested for driving under the influence in the 3400 block of Douglas Highway. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. The vehicle he was driving was impounded. Alcohol was a factor.

Drug activity

At 4:18 p.m. on Tuesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into drug activity in the Juneau area.

Lost child

At 12:04 a.m. on Tuesday, a case was made to document a lost child that was located and returned to parents in the 8800 block of Nancy Street.

Trespassing

At 1:19 p.m. on Tuesday, 44-year-old Jeffrey Allen Wright was arrest on two JPD warrants, concealment of merchandise and trespass in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway. Wright was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Warrant

At 8:21 p.m. on Tuesday. 23-year-old Edstras Nosue Toribio was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 3800 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
