Here’s the annual Mud Puddle Run results

Local runner John Bursell won the annual Mud Puddle Run on Saturday.

The 55-year-old’s time was 45 minutes and 47 second when he crossed the finish line at the University of Alaska Southeast. Jim Ustasiewski, 55, took second place with a time of 53 minutes and 6 seconds, and Gus Marx, 49, earned third with 54 minutes and 10 seconds.

For the mile run, 12-year-old Ida Meyer took first place, 12-year-old Ryan Thibodeau second, and 8-year-old Karter Barzee third.

The race was started by the late Glenn Frick and continues in his honor. It’s a Juneau Trail and Road Runners event.
