Juneau Composts! and Mud Bay Lumber Company are the 2018 winners of the annual Path to Prosperity Business Competition.

The winners were announced Tuesday at the 2019 Mid-Session Summit hosted by Southeast Conference. Both businesses split the $50,000 prize.

Juneau Composts! is a composting service available in Juneau serving households and businesses of all kinds. Mud Bay Lumber Company is a family-based, small-scale sawmill in Haines.

Path to Prosperity is an annual sustainable business development competition that awards $50,000 to triple bottomline businesses (an accounting framework with social, environmental and financial considerations) in Southeast Alaska.
