Player of the Week: Philip Gonzales

Philip Gonzales is the Juneau Empire’s player of the week.
Gonzales, a senior on Juneau-Douglas High School’s boys basketball team, made an impressive eight 3-pointers in a two home games against Thunder Mountain over the weekend. In a Friday loss, Gonzales scored 27 points on 6 of 8 shooting from 3. The shooting guard then went for 16 points in a Saturday win.
JDHS (8-7) hosts Service on Thursday at 7 p.m. before hitting the road for games against Ketchikan on Friday and Saturday at 7:15 p.m. The away games will be streamed online at kgbsd.org/live.
