Player of the Week: Cody Mitchell

Cody Mitchell is the Juneau Empire’s player of the week.
Mitchell, a junior at Juneau-Douglas High School, allowed just four goals over three games last week. The netminder recorded a shutout in a 7-0 win over Kenai Central on Wednesday, and stopped 54 of 58 shots in two losses to Soldotna.
JDHS travels to Fairbanks for two contests against North Pole High School on Jan. 11-12 before hosting their second-to-last home series of the season against Homer the following weekend.
