Gnass, Miller win Fun Run

Jeff Gnass and Shawn Miller won their respective races at the Juneau Family Health and Birth Center Fun Run on Saturday.

The 1-mile and 5-mile runs started from the Hospital Drive clinic and attracted just over 30 runners and walkers, almost a third of which were under the age of 10.

Gnass, 72, won the 1-mile in 8 minutes, 29 seconds. Brooks Pinney, 7, and Bridger Pinney, 5, came in second and third, respectively. In the 5-miler, Miller easily outpaced the remainder of the field, finishing in 33:03.
