Parks and Recreation of Juneau is looking for referees for the upcoming youth outdoor soccer season.

The season begins July 9 and runs through Sept. 3. Referees 14 and older are needed for the 7-8, 9-10 and 11-14 year old divisions. Some soccer knowledge is appreciated but not required.

If interested or for more information contact Parks and Rec’s Dave Pusich or Amanda Lovejoy at 586-5226, or visit the youth sports website for more information.

To help support current and prospective individuals interested in becoming a referee for local soccer organizations, JSC has partnered with the Juneau Referee Association to host a free referee clinic at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 11 at the Dimond Park Fieldhouse. Those interested need to RSVP to jscsoccer@gmail.com by June 10.

Trainees will work with experienced local refs to go over the many aspects of being a referee.
