The U.S. Coast Guard buoy tender Elderberry takes aboard navigation markers from Gastineau Channel on Tuesday morning, Oct. 27, 2015. Each winter, the markers are removed from the channel to protect them from damage during ice and winter storms. The markers are reinstalled in the spring.
