The Thunder Mountain High School girls basketball team made easy work of Eagle River on Friday during game four of a five-game road trip up north.

The Falcons (2-3) dispatched Eagle River 52-13 on the road, led by Nina Fenumaia’s game-high 14 points. Ava Tompkins scored nine points, and Haleigh DiCarlo and Cyrene Udippa had eight each.

The Falcons sprinted out to a 15-2 lead after one quarter of play behind six points from Fenumiai, and then held Eagle River scoreless in the second for a 33-2 advantage going into the locker room.

Eagle River was able to muster some points in the third, scoring two field goals and shooting 6-of-8 from the free throw line, but the Falcons scored 14 in the period, six from Tompkins, for a 47-12 edge.

The Falcons held Eagle River to just one point in the fourth.

Thunder Mountain made 21 field goals, two from 3-point range, and shot 4-of-8 form the free throw line. Eagle River made three field goals and shot 7-of-14 from the free throw line.

The Falcons ended their five-game road trip against Bartlett High School on Saturday. That story will be posted online once full results are sent in.
