Athletes of the Week: Audrey Welling & Arne Ellefson-Carnes

Audrey Welling and Arne Ellefson-Carnes are the Juneau Empire Athletes of the Week.

Welling, of Thunder Mountain High School, won both the 100 and 300-meter hurdle events at the Ketchikan Invitational over the weekend. Ellefson-Carnes, of Juneau-Douglas High School, won a close 1600-meter race with a time of 4 minutes, 41 seconds. The junior was third in the 3200-meter race with a time of 10:10.

The TMHS and JDHS track teams compete in the Sitka Invitational this weekend.
