Letter: End of a tradition

Our oldest daughter, Haley, was born Feb. 17, 1996, making my lovely wife, Valerie, of course, a mom. Every year from 1996 through 2015 (including 1999 after Sarah was born on May 5, it was Val’s first trip out after she was born!) we enjoyed going to the Baranof and sitting at our regular table in the first seating for Mother’s Day brunch. We are sorry that this tradition has come to an end since the Baranof is no longer doing brunch. The Baranof did a good job with these and it was always fun to go and see the usual crowd. We’re going to start a new tradition at Salt this year. I hope they hold up the standard. Change is always inevitable, but I will miss this one.
