Woman charged with assault of two Juneau nurses

A 32-year-old woman is facing charges of robbery and two counts of assault as a result of an incident at Bartlett Regional Hospital Aug. 5.
Bryttni Snow Williams was charged with robbery in the 2nd degree, assault in the 4th degree and assault in the 4th degree (fear) in Juneau’s Alaska District Court Aug. 6.
According to court documents, Williams told a nurse she wanted to leave the hospital’s mental health ward but was told she could not because she was on hold. She grabbed the nurse’s hospital badge, which opens the exit doors, and tried to rip it off.
When the nurse attempted to prevent her from taking the badge, Williams punched her on the left cheek, left ear and three times to the back of the head, according to the report of a Juneau police officer who interviewed the nurses and observed te hospital security video.
When another nurse tried to pull Williams away, she kicked him in the shins, said the complaint filed by Officer Jonah Hennings-Booth. “She then attempted to scrach his face and bit his hands.”
None of the allegations have been proven in court.
