Capital City Classic tips off

Juneau, we have tipoff.

The Princess Cruises Capital City Classic got underway Wednesday afternoon — a day later than previously scheduled due to travel problems — with a game between the West Valley High School and Anchorage Christian School, one of four games slated for the day, including games by both the Juneau-Douglas High School: Yadaa.at Kalé girls and boys teams that were set to conclude after deadline. Both Crimson Bears teams are set to play evening games on Thursday and Friday, too.

The schedule for the tournament’s remaining games, according to the Crimson Bears basketball website, is below.

Thursday

— 1 p.m. Anchorage Christian vs. East Anchorage, girls

—3 p.m. West Valley vs. Haines, boys

— 5 p.m. Juneau-Douglas vs. West Valley, girls

— 7 p.m. Juneau-Douglas vs. South Anchorage, boys

Friday

— 1o a.m., shooting contests

— 1 p.m. West Valley vs. East Anchorage, girls

— 3 p.m. Haines vs. South Anchorage, boys

— 5 p.m. Anchorage Christian vs. Juneau-Douglas, girls

— 7 p.m. West Valley vs. Juneau Douglas, boys.

—8:30 p.m. Awards.
