Player of the week: Cassie Dzinich

Juneau-Douglas High School senior Cassie Dzinich is the Juneau Empire’s player of the week.
Dzinich scored 40 points over the weekend in two losses to Sitka High School. The multi-sport athlete has come up big when her team needs her — Dzinich has averaged 16 points in the Crimson Bears’ five wins this season.
The JDHS girls basketball team is in action this weekend at home against Ketchikan. Games start at 8 p.m. both Friday and Saturday night.
