Player of the Week: Jahrease Mays

Jahrease Mays is the Juneau Empire’s player of the week.

Mays, a junior at Juneau-Douglas High School, twice pinned a former state finalist to earn the 125-pound title at the Brandon Pilot Invitational on Saturday at Thunder Mountain High School. Mays pinned Ketchikan’s Patrick Rauwolf in 53 seconds in round one and 70 seconds in round two.

Mays and the Thunder Mountain wrestling team compete in Ketchikan’s Bill Weiss Invitational this weekend.
