Baseball: TMHS loses big to Sitka

After winning a tight game with a walk off home run Thursday, Thunder Mountain High School baseball took a big loss in six innings on Friday, falling 2-15 after giving up six runs in the third inning and five in the sixth.

TMHS batted for just four hits to Sitka’s 15 with Taylor Funderburke, Finn Collins, Zeb Story and Owen Swanton the only Falcons to garner hits.

Story and Bobby Cox split time on the mound, with both coming away with two strikeouts during two and three innings pitched, respectively.

Sitka’s Cam Suarez pitched all six innings for the Wolves, coming away with four strikouts on 82 pitches for 49 strikes.

The Falcons travel to Petersburg this weekend for two games on Friday and Saturday.
