Back To School Tennis Tournament results

The Juneau-Douglas High School tennis team partnered with community players for the Back To School Doubles Tournament.

The tournament ended Sunday at the Alaska Club Valley with four winning teams. The tournament raised $500 for the high school tennis team, with approximately 50 participants.

Colleen McKenna and Josie Bahnke went 3-0 en route to taking the Women’s North Bracket title. Gale Good and Mona Mametsuka, of the Mixed East Bracket, and Collin Kuopalla and Nick Pongphai, of the Men’s/Mixed West Bracket, also went 3-0 to claim bracket victories. Kurt Dzinich and Jacob Dangeli claimed the Men’s/Women’s East Bracket championship.
