Edward Larson

Edward Larson passed away on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015. He was 60 years old.

He was born January 31, 1955, and was originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He had lived in Stacy, Minnesota, as well as Sitka, before moving to Juneau about five years ago. He was employed mostly as an auto mechanic in various shops throughout Minnesota.

From the time he was in high school at New Brighton High, he excelled in swimming. He was a member of the school swim team, a lifeguard and water safety instructor and enjoyed scuba diving. One of his favorite things was to take his daughter Holly swimming.

He was preceded in death by his mother, and also his wife, Sam Elizabeth Larson, who passed in January of 2015.

He is survived by his sisters, Marla Nordlum, Cheryl Knehans and Loree Cullen, all of Minnesota; step-daughter, Chante’ Larson of Blaine, Minnesota; and daughter, Holly Larson, of Juneau.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m. at the Juneau Seventh-day Adventist Church, 4343 Mendenhall Loop Road. Following the service, refreshments will be served in the church fellowship hall.
