University of Alaska to talk realignment next week

The University of Alaska Board of Regents will meet on Thursday and Friday next week to consider its “Strategic Pathways” program radically realigning the programs of the Fairbanks, Anchorage and Juneau universities for cost savings.

Under the plan, each university would “focus on its core strengths,” according to documents released by the Board of Regents. A draft plan is available at www.alaska.edu/pathways.

Public comments on the idea may be submitted to ua-bor@alaska.edu.
