Burglary

• At 3:38 p.m. Sunday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a report of the theft of $300 from a business; there were no signs of forced entry.

Counterfeit money

• At 3:25 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report of counterfeit money being used for goods in the 2200 block of Trout Street.

Fire and medical

• On Monday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 12 EMS calls and five medical transports in the area throughout the day. At 5:12 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a camp fire at a ball field in Dimond Park; they found a pile of newspaper that had extinguished itself. At 5:44 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire alarm on Mendenhall Loop Road that had been triggered but burnt food. At 8:36 p.m., they were dispatched to a structure fire on Stephen Richards Drive; they found the fire mostly extinguished and searched for hot spots.

Shoplifting

• At 4:05 p.m. Sunday, JPD cited Kelsie J. Weimer, 24, for reportedly shoplifting at a shoe store in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway.

Theft

• At 2:01 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a reported theft of a necklace valued at $500 from the 4500 block of Kanata Street.

Vehicle rifling

• At 6:25 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report by a 24-year-old woman on Shattuck Way that her vehicle had been rifled and her passport, a charm bracelet and makeup were stolen.
