Assault

• At 12:17 a.m. Monday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a report of an assault in the 5900 block of Churchill Way in which alcohol was involved; investigation continues.

Fire and medical

• On Friday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 10 EMS calls and four medical transports in the area throughout the day.

• On Saturday, CCFR responded to 10 EMS calls and one medical transport. At 8:41 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to an active fire alarm on Channel Drive, but no sign of smoke or fire was found. At 10:57 a.m., they were dispatched to an electrical wire that caught a tree on fire on Pine Street. At 5:27 p.m., firefighters were called to a vehicle accident on Mendenhall Loop Road with no injuries.

• On Sunday, CCFR responded to 19 EMS calls. At 9:06 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to s smoke complaint on Goodwin Road and determined there was a valid burn permit in effect. At 10:31 a.m., they were dispatched to a structure fire on Egan Drive, but it was a fire alarm system malfunction. At 7:48 p.m., firefighters responded to a smoke complaint on Pederson Street and found an open burn; the resident did not have a permit and the fire was extinguished.

Shoplifting

• At 12:37 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report of two instances of shoplifting by a man in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard; investigation continues.

• At 10:02 p.m. Sunday, JPD cited Alfred Torres Jr., 23, for larceny in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue.

Theft

• At 7:44 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report regarding the theft of a black Trek mountain bike from the Dimond Park area.

Trespassing

• At 7:24 p.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Tamera Jones, 34, for criminal trespass in the 300 block of 11th Street; she was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• At 11:46 a.m. Monday, JPD cited Steven Lythgoe, 43, for criminal trespass in the 8800 block of Glacier Highway.

Vandalism

• At 7:44 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report from a 20-year-old woman in the 1800 block of Northwood Drive that someone smashed her vehicle windshield while she was at work.

• At 1:38 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to a report regarding a smashed windshield in the 300 block of 11th Street; investigation continues.

Vehicle rifling

• At 12:37 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report by a 42-year-old woman in the 500 block of Kennedy Street that her vehicle had been rifled through; an item had been taken but was later recovered.

• At 1:33 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report of a vehicle rifling in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard; investigation continues.

Vehicle theft

• At 11:46 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway; investigation continues.
