Police & fire for Sunday, April 3, 2016

Assault

• At 4:04 p.m. Thursday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of assault between two juveniles in the 3800 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. Investigation continues.
Criminal trespassing

• At 1:37 p.m. Thursday, JPD cited and released George W. Nelson III, 49, for criminal trespassing in the 8800 block of Glacier Highway. Alcohol was involved.

Drug activity

• At 2:42 p.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of drug activity in the 3100 block of Dimond Park Loop. Investigation continues.

Drunken driving

• At 12:27 p.m. Friday, JPD arrested Briand Dyer, 27, for driving under the influence in the 9400 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. Dyer provided a sample of his breath, which revealed an alcohol concentration of .197 percent. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center where he was later released on his own recognizance.

Fire and medical

• On Thursday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 10 EMS calls, one public service call, two transport calls, one burn complaint, one residential fire handled by the homeowner and one call about a forest fire near Mendenhall Loop Road where a tree was on fire. That incident is under investigation.

Sex crime

• At 2:05 p.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of a sexual assault in the Juneau area. Confidential investigation continues.
