Police calls for Wednesday, April 16, 2019

Assault

• At 2:11 p.m. Monday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the 200 block of Cordova Street to investigate the report of a 27-year-old man who reported a 42-year-old man assaulted him.

• At 8:19 p.m. Monday, JPD arrested Timothy Ebona, 42, in the 3200 block of Hospital Drive for assault. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Burglary

• At 12:13 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to the 5400 block of Shaune Drive to investigate the report of a 60-year-old man who reported that a 61-year-old woman’s storage shed was broken into.

• At 9:33 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to the 200 block of Seward Street to investigate the report of a 29-year-old woman who reported the windows to her property were damaged.

Child abuse/neglect

• At 12:59 p.m. Monday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into the report of possible child abuse.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 7:10 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to the report of a 69-year-old woman who reported her 2014 Toyota RAV4 was hit while parked. The damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,000.

Sex crime

• At 8:40 p.m. Monday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into the report of a sexual assault in the Juneau area.

Theft

• At 3:41 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to the area of Basin Road to investigate the report of a stolen Jeep Liberty. The car was found and returned to the owner.

Vandalism

• At 3:52 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to the 300 block of Distin Avenue to investigate the report of a 64-year-old woman who reported the cover for her spare tire was damaged.

Vehicle rifling

• At 3:41 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to the area of Basin Road to investigate the report of vehicle rifling.

Warrant arrest

• At about 1:54 p.m. Saturday, Juneau-based Alaska State Troopers arrested Juneau resident Joseph Rivera, 26, at his home on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on the charges of possessing a forged title/registration/plate and driving without a valid license. Rivera was taken to LCCC and held on $250 bail.
