Police calls for Tuesday, July 17, 2018

Assault

• At 6:42 p.m. Saturday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the 2800 block of Riverside Drive to investigate the report of an assault.

• At 7:01 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 10800 block of Black Bear Road to investigate the report of an assault.

Domestic violence

• At 4:56 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the report of domestic violence assault in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

• At 6:23 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the report of domestic violence in the Juneau area. Alcohol was a factor.

• At 6:58 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the report of domestic violence assault in the Juneau area. Alcohol was a factor. Investigation continues.

Drunken driving

• At 2:58 a.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Aimee Ann Brown, 44, in the 2800 block of Riverside Drive for driving under the influence.

• At 3:01 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash in the 4000 block of Egan Drive. Officers found a car hanging halfway off the guardrail in the inbound lane of Egan Drive, JPD Public Safety Officer Erann Kalwara said. They found a 31-year-old man as the sole person in the car, and took him to the hospital. Read more on A8. Investigation continues.

Theft

• At 2:35 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 6500 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a 35-year-old man that his vehicle had been stolen. The car was later found.

• At 8:57 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 2200 block of Trout Street to investigate the report of a stolen wallet.

Wildlife violation

• On June 25, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers served a notice of vendor termination on a business known as Juneau Classic Tours. Sport fish license books and king salmon stamps were seized from three sport fish charter vessels being operated by Juneau Sport Fishing LLC, who operates in conjunction with Juneau Classic Tours. Troopers Lt. Matthew Dobson said the company had fallen behind on its payments to the Alaska Department of Fish & Game for licenses and stamps sold. Dobson also said there were concerns about misuse of license books by allowing outside persons to sell licenses and issue king salmon stamps.

• On Friday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Juneau residents Steven Selvidge, 49, and Angela Tucker, 47, for not having a king salmon stamp. They were found sport fishing for king salmon at Fish Creek Pond. They were issued a $110 fine.

• On Friday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued California resident Ryan Mundy, 45, a correctable citation for not possessing a sport fish license. Mundy was found sport fishing at Fish Creek Pond. The citation was issued in Juneau District Court.

• On Friday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited New Zealand resident Ross Linton, 57, in Taku Habor for not having required markings on his fishing pots and not having a biodegradable escape mechanism on the pots. Each citation was $110 and both were issued in Juneau District Court.
