Assist

At 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 29-year-old Lucas Barone was arrested on Glacier Highway and later released for criminal trespass.

Disturbance

At 3:51 p.m. on Wednesday, Juneau Police Department responded to a disturbance at a local business on Willoughby Avenue.

Fraud

At 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, a 53-year-old woman reported a 39-year-old woman fraudulently obtained money from her on Glacier Highway.

Motor Vehicle Crash without Injury

At 4:21 p.m. on Wednesday, JPD received a report of a minor vehicle accident on Willoughby Avenue.

Shoplifting

At 10:24 p.m. on Thursday, 32-year-old Anthony Reyes was arrested on Willoughby Avenue for larceny and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Theft

At 3:49 p.m. on Wednesday, a 45-year-old woman reported a possible theft of a package on Riverside Drive.

Traffic Stop

At 4:41 p.m. on Wednesday, 42-year-old Jennifer McAllister was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the Juneau area and was taken to LCCC.

Reps. Tom McKay, R-Anchorage, and Andi Story, D-Juneau, offering competing amendments to a bill increasing the per-student funding formula for public schools by $1,250 during a House Education Committee meeting Wednesday morning. McKay’s proposal to lower the increase to $150 was defeated. Story’s proposal to implement an increase during the next two years was approved, after her proposed amounts totalling about $1,500 were reduced to $800.
