Assault

At 1:42 p.m. on Tuesday, a 29-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence- assault and interfering with the report of a domestic violence crime and taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

At 10:56 p.m. on Tuesday, 39-year-old John Michael Vavalis was arrested for violating conditions for release, escape, assault, criminal mischief and indecent exposure on the 1900 block of Allen Court and taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Explosive device

At 2:01 p.m. on Tuesday, JPD collected found blasting caps.

Motor vehicle crash

At 12:12 a.m. on Wednesday, a 1999 GMC Yukon driven by an unknown person was involved in a motor vehicle crash in the 1000 block of 10th Street. The vehicle was impounded.

Sex crime

At 8:28 a.m. on Wednesday, JPD documented a sex offender registry violation.

Traffic stop

At 11:19 p.m. on Tuesday, 37-year-old Jennifer Leigh Ross was cited and released for driving without a license and violating conditions of release in the 1700 block of Glacier Avenue.

Warrant arrest

At 8:09 p.m. on Tuesday, 39-year-old Matthew Alexander Charles was arrested on a Juneau Police Department warrant in the 8700 block of Teal Street and taken to LCCC.
