Assault

• At 5:19 p.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department arrested Thomas Johnathan May, 39, in the 100 block of Franklin Street for third-degree assault. May was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Read more on Thursday’s A1.

Burglary

• At 3:21 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 500 block of Willoughby Avenue to investigate a 37-year-old woman’s report that an iPad Mini had been stolen from a business. Investigation continues.

• At 12:38 a.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Corey Chad Everett Thompson, 29, in the 9100 block of Glacier Highway for burglary. Thompson was taken to LCCC. Read more on Thursday’s A1.

Child abuse/neglect

• At 3:52 p.m. Tuesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into the report of child abuse in the Juneau area.

Robbery

• At 1:56 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested Benjamin P. Dodd, 42, in the 6500 block of Glacier for for first-degree robbery and third-degree assault. He was taken to LCCC. Read more on Wednesday’s A1.

• At 10:35 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 3600 block of Killewich Drive to investigate a theft.

Shoplifting

• At 8:03 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 8100 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a woman shoplifting from a business.

Theft

• At 12:52 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the area of Marine Way to investigate a 30-year-old woman’s report that a blue Ford Ranger was stolen. The car was later recovered.

• At 2:08 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 5900 block of Mountain Avenue to investigate a 55-year-old woman’s report that jewelry had been stolen from her home. Investigation continues.

• At 7:17 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 11900 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report that a 2004 white Ford van had been stolen. The van was later recovered.

• At 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 1400 block of Harbor Way to investigate a 33-year-old man’s report that an inverter charger worth an estimated $800 was stolen from his boat.

• At 11:19 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 2500 block of Scott Drive to investigate a 64-year-old woman’s report that her mail, containing a Samsung Galaxy cellphone worth an estimated $220, was stolen sometime on May 17.

Vandalism

• At 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 100 block of Front Street to investigate a 68-year-old man’s report that his bicycle was vandalized.

Warrant arrest

• At 10:42 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested Lance David James, 27, on a JPD warrant for failing to appear for arraignment. The original charge was for assault. James was taken to LCCC.
