Juneau Construction Academy to offer information session

The Juneau Construction Academy will offer a free information session about local construction and trades career opportunities from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Learning Connection located at 210 Ferry Way.

Information will be provided on an introduction to trades and construction, carpentry, welding, electrical, plumbing, drywall and safety trainings. Representatives from building trade unions will talk about apprenticeship opportunities. Employers in construction will be present. Additionally, instructors from the University of Alaska Southeast’s construction technology and career center will attend.
