Grand jury hands down indictments for weapons, driving, forgery charges

A Juneau grand jury handed down three indictments on Thursday.

• Daniel Ryan Pope, 31, was indicted for third-degree weapons misconduct. Prosecutors say Pope — a convicted felon — knowingly had a firearm on Sept. 28, 2017 in Juneau. According to electronic court records, Pope pleaded guilty in July 2011 to one charge of third-degree drug misconduct, which is a class C felony. Third-degree weapons misconduct is a class C felony.

• Domanic Peter Quick, 23, was indicted for failing to stop at the direction of an officer. On Nov. 9, 2017, according to charging documents, Quick didn’t stop when an officer directed him to, a class C felony. Quick’s arraignment in Juneau Superior Court is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. June 26.

• Jenelle Louise Nelson, 36, was indicted for two counts of second-degree forgery. According to electronic court records, the forgery is related to legal documents, and the charge of second-degree forgery is a class C felony.
